Site Overview

PowerCampus® Texas provides a modern, sustainability-focused data center environment within Oncor’s deregulated power territory. The site offers 100% renewable energy options, LEED-certified designs, and sub-3ms latency to Dallas’s Infomart. With speculative development underway and "by-right" zoning, users can scale quickly via multiple configurations or build-to-suit phases. The campus seamlessly integrates mission-critical infrastructure with premium amenities, including EV charging and customizable office suites.

Neighborhood Safeguards

1-Mile Buffer: The campus footprint maintains an approximate one-mile buffer from the nearest neighborhoods to ensure zero impact on quality of life.

Quiet Operations:
All equipment is screened by masonry walls and landscape buffers to ensure silent, unobtrusive operations.

Traffic:
Unlike retail or manufacturing, this facility generates virtually no daily commuter traffic or heavy trucking noise.

Economic Engine

Job Creation: The project will create 300-500 permanent full-time jobs and 2,000-3,000 construction jobs, prioritizing local workers and firms.

Education: We partner with local educators to fund scholarships and create long-term technology career pathways for Wichita Falls students.

Tax Impact: This private investment has the potential to significantly expand the local tax base, providing millions for schools, parks, and first responders.

Advanced Conservation

Water Efficiency: We use a closed-loop system that recirculates water rather than consuming it. After the initial fill, annual usage for the entire 10-building campus is comparable to just 40 typical homes.

Grid Reliability:
Skybox pays for 100% of required grid upgrades. No infrastructure costs are shifted to local residents or ratepayers.

Emergency Support:
The facility is required to turn off during state power emergencies, actually improving overall grid resiliency for the area.

Location, Location, Location

This campus is ideally located in Wichita Falls with convenient access to major transportation corridors, including I-44 and US-287, offering strong regional connectivity. Positioned approximately two hours from both the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and Oklahoma City, the site provides strategic access to two major markets while benefiting from a lower-cost, less congested environment.

Texas operates its own independent power grid, delivering reliable and competitively priced energy, along with a favorable tax structure, lower cost of living, and a pro-business climate that continues to attract companies relocating and expanding within the state.

Powered by Skybox

Skybox Datacenters, in partnership with Blue Owl, is expanding its national footprint with the development of Skybox PowerCampus® Texas, a new large-scale, grid-connected campus in Wichita Falls.
